Our modern world is an incredibly busy place and we are bombarded by a lot of external stimuli every day and urged to stay busy and be productive. Our bodies are incredibly sensitive structures designed to continuously inform us about what is going on both around us and within us. With so much information coming in simultaneously, we can tend to go into an overwhelm mode and start to filter things to make the amount of information manageable. In suppressing the informational flow, We lose touch with our bodies and the important messages they send us. We become somewhat disembodied as a coping strategy.
In doing so, we may lose track of what really is important to us and we may begin to go through life in a mechanical, numb, or joyless way. Our bodies get so immersed in always being ready to move that they forget how to be still. Rediscovering embodiment allows us greater awareness, greater power over our environment and our responses to it, and a more complete connection with how we feel, including what makes us happy and how it feels to relax.
Truly letting go and allowing your body to soften out of being consistently prepped for action is a bit of a lost art... and we have found through gentle, mindful movement to reawaken patterns of motion not used in everyday life, and then relaxing into the vibrational embrace of Crystal bowl sounds can allow us to soften and remember how to relax in ways that we have forgotten. There can be an "Aha!" when you find yourself in a deeply relaxed body state. It is like coming home to a most beautiful, comfortable space. Because yes, you live in there! It's home, in the truest sense of the word.
We would love to help you remember how it feels to come home to your body. Let us guide you to move in gentle sweeping motions and feel the freedom of that.... And then to sit or lie down and allow yourselves to be bathed in the gentle waves of a crystal sound bath. To move, and then be soothed, to support yourself gently, & to see that you can find absolute comfort in simply being still for a while.
Join us for some mindful movement and a sonic bath and gently find your way home, feeling aware, relaxed and embodied to finish a busy day.
